United glove
manufactures heat and cut-resistant gloves
and protective arm sleeves from a variety of high performance fibers
including DyneemaŽ, SpectraŽ, KevlarŽ, Para-Aramid, Stainless Steel,
and Fiberglass. Combinations and composites of these materials
provide various levels of cut protection ranging from ANSI levels
2-5 and EAN levels 2-5.
KevlarŽ and other para-aramid fibers are 5 times stronger than
steel, on an equal weight basis. KevlarŽ and other para-aramid
fibers offer high heat resistance and flame retardant properties, as
well as cut and slash protection. These materials have become the
industry standard for manufacturing gloves to
protect hands, wrists, and arms against exposure to sharp
objects, glass, and heat.
DyneemaŽ and SpectraŽ fibers and composite yarns offer more
cut resistant gloves than KevlarŽ
and para-aramids; however they cannot withstand heat. Unlike KevlarŽ
and para-aramids, DyneemaŽ and SpectraŽ can be bleached, making
these materials popular for cold temperature food processing
applications such as meat packing and poultry processing.
Stainless steel and fiberglass are often used to enhance the
cut-resistant properties of many gloves and protective apparel.
Subject to volume requirements, United Glove welcomes the
opportunity to customize heat and cut-resistant string knit gloves,
heat and cut-resistant terry cloth gloves, and heat and cut-resistant arm sleeves to
provide the right amount of protection and comfort for the job at
hand.
String Knit Seamless Kevlar Gloves
Seamless knit Kevlar gloves are popular choices for assembly and warehousing applications. These gloves provide the dexterity needed for
handling small parts and hand-held utility knives. The lighter weight styles can also be used as glove liners to be worn under other protective apparel to make them more
cut-resistant and heat-resistant.
They are comfortable and ambidextrous - can be worn on either hand - providing double the wear. They are available in a variety of weights
providing various degrees of comfort and protection.
Also many styles are available with grip-enhancing plastisol dots.
If the volume warrants, United Glove welcomes the opportunity to customize string knit gloves and develop customized grip patterns and/or logo’s to address your specific heat-resistant,
cut-resistant Kevlar glove needs.
